This is BosseBus
BosseBus, also known as Bosse Pettersson, is a troubadour and songwriter working primarily within the alternative and punk genres. He is known for the powerful song Ballad om en gatumusikant, which tells the story of a close relative who lived life as a street performer. On Facebook, he describes himself as a security consultant and bodyguard – but it is in his music that his storytelling truly comes alive.
He is also one of the founding members of the band Ebba på Skånska, a Malmö-based punk project that interprets the legacy of Ebba Grön in the Scanian dialect. The band describes itself as “4 salty guys from Malmö, interpreting the song treasure of Ebba Grön in Scanian live for the survivors” and is active on Facebook and Youtube/Facebook.

Ballad om en gatumusikant
Ballad om en gatumusikant is a powerful song, written by Bosse in his late teens. It was inspired by a close relative who spent much of his life on the street, playing guitar in town squares and public places. The lyrics paint a portrait of someone who owned little more than his guitar and the clothes he wore – yet still managed to find joy in the simple things.
The song represents a young person’s attempt to understand addiction, homelessness, and human dignity. Some parts of the lyrics dream of a recovery that never fully happened – but the emotional truth remains intact.
This latest version has been reimagined by producer Thomas Tornevall (also known as The Houseifyer), who has carefully enhanced the soul of the original with a stripped-down, respectful arrangement. The result is a tribute – not only to one man’s life, but to all the unheard voices behind every worn-out pair of shoes with nowhere to go.
